Sheboygan Senior Community Breaks Ground on New 200kW Solar Installation
This project will be 200kW in size, consisting of a solar field of 448 bifacial solar panels on the Sheboygan Senior Community (SSC) campus. It was made possible with support from a $242,581 grant from the WI Office of Energy Innovation and $25,000 worth of donated solar panels through the Solar for Good Program, a partnership between the Couillard Solar Foundation and RENEW Wisconsin.
Legacy Solar Co-op coordinated this process and provided additional support by matching a tax sponsor with the project, which will help SSC save up to 40% or more on their energy bill. This is equivalent to about $35,000 annually. The installation will be performed by member installer Arch Electric, Inc. out of Plymouth, WI.
