Western Dane County Solar Group Buy 2020
Legacy Solar Co-op (LSC), in conjunction with the Town of Vermont’s Climate Action Committee and other communities, is proud to offer the residents of western Dane County a Solar Group Buy Program for the installation of new, residential solar arrays at a lower price than a typical residential installation. This program will last from May through December 2020.
The goal of the program is to increase solar education and adoption in the communities of Western Dane County, including Vermont Township, Middleton, Mount Horeb, Black Earth, Blue Mounds, Mazomanie, Cross Plains, Verona, Berry, Springdale and the surrounding area.
We will be updating this website regularly with more information about program specifics and how to participate.
LSC and the Western Dane County Solar Group Buy Selection Committee are proud to announce that the installers chosen for this year’s group buy are All Sky Energy of Baraboo and Eagle Point Solar, which has offices in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. These two companies partnered to present a proposal that was professional and competitive.
How the Group Buy Works
A group buy program typically offers lower rates than individually developed solar projects because of competitive bidding and economy of scale (read more). It consists of the following steps:
- Participate in an educational event / ask questions
- Sign up for an assessment:
- Contract proposal, signing and project schedule
- Commissioning or interconnection
