Tell us a little about Eagle Point Solar

Founded in 2010, Eagle Point Solar is dedicated to providing renewable solar energy solutions throughout Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. We design, engineer and build systems of all sizes for residential homes, small businesses, large commercial facilities, agricultural operations, local governments, academic institutions and local utilities. Eagle Point Solar is one of the largest solar installers in the Midwest, and consistently ranked as a Solar Power World Top Solar Contractor and Solar + Storage Installer in the U.S. In addition to providing turnkey energy management solutions, Eagle Point Solar also offers; sales, design & engineering, permitting, utility interconnection, construction and service and support.

What do your customers appreciate most about your work?

Eagle Point Solar is local, covering Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. We have grown to be the largest solar installer in the region by hiring skilled professionals, investing in continual education and providing on-going training for our staff. This commitment results in a highly skilled workforce with various degrees, licenses and certifications including; North American Board of Certified Energy Professionals (NABCEP), electrical apprenticeships, factory training by major solar inverter manufacturers, factory certified installers for industry-leading storage systems and multiple licensed drone pilots. Additionally, Eagle Point Solar provides a 5-year workmanship warranty for every client for whom it installs a solar array.

Tell us more about the different types of projects your company handles

Eagle Point Solar has completed a broad range of turnkey PV solar projects within the residential, agricultural, commercial, academic, municipal, and non-profit industries.

What does your team think about from one install to the next?

The core focus of Eagle Point Solar and team members is to energize people to save money while protecting the environment by providing turnkey PV solar solutions. Organizational values are: quality, client satisfaction, sustainable, safety, constant improvement, employee satisfaction and integrity.

What has been your experience with supply chain issues over the past year or few years?

Supply chain disruptions during the past few years is a constant team focus coming out of Covid. As with any industry, supply chain impacts are often dependent on the quality of partnerships within manufacturing and distribution channels to effectively secure the necessary components to complete the construction process of a solar array in conjunction with public demand to lower rising energy costs by going solar. Due to strong, long-lasting partner relationships with major solar industry manufacturers and distributors, along with our purchasing powering and accurate pipeline forecasting, disruption in supply chain has leveled-out with minimal current impact.

Tell us about making an impact in your communities?

Eagle Point Solar continually participates in local sponsorships, fundraising events and community volunteer opportunities throughout the tri-state area. This participation is often shared to our social channels to help bring additional public awareness to these events and organizations. Additionally, Eagle Point Solar has participated in the Renew Dubuque initiative to help provide affordable solar energy to a selection of designated, low-income households who could financially benefit from lower energy costs. Lastly, Eagle Point Solar has continually participated in local/community/county solar discount group-buy programs with various non-profit organizations.

Tell us about the most interesting or unique system you have installed?

Eagle Point Solar is fortunate to have installed over 3,000 systems (and growing) throughout Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin for many different industries (residential, commercial, agricultural, academic, municipal and non-profit.) No single installation is identical as every solar array is custom designed, engineered and built to achieve the financial and energy production goals of our clients. A full portfolio of interesting and unique projects is available here.

Tell us about your company’s operations?

Eagle Point Solar’s consultative process is designed to provide our clients with the information and education they need to make an informed decision about whether investing in a solar array is a good decision. Once it is determined a solar project is indeed viable, the process is then focused on developing a custom, innovative, turn-key solar energy solution for each client, no “cookie cutter” approach is used. The result of following our process is a successful solar installation which meets the goals of the client.
